Here are some suggested problems from the first two sections. As I have been derelict in placingthese on the web, I will not ask you to turn them in.Section 1: #2, 5, 10, 12, 14, 17, 18 (this last one is important to know about)Section 2: #1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11
For section 3 you should do the following: 2, 4, 6, 9, 10.
Section 4: 2,7
Section 5: 5,7,10 (#9 is useful for #10)
Section 6: 2, 7, 10
Section 7: Skip for now
Section 8: 3, 4, 5, 6, 9
Chapter 2, Section 1: #1,8,10,11
Section 2: 3,7Section 4: 5,7,9 (contractible is defined on pg. 38), read #14 and then do #15
