Proposed Project for the MSU Industrial Math Students
Strengthening Communities Through Citizen Data.
Using data from the joint program between Cobalt Community Research and the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), explore and map relationships between various drivers of citizen satisfaction, and behavioral intent with local government attributes identified in the US Census Bureau dataset. Drivers include local school satisfaction, fire and police satisfaction, quality of life factors, and economic factors. Behavioral intent includes willingness to volunteer, intent to remain living in a community, likelihood to encourage others to move there, likelihood to encourage business start ups, and likelihood to support the current local government administration.
