The Department of Mathematics is pleased to announce that the R.E. Philips Memorial Scholarship will be awarded this spring to an undergraduate with an interest in mathematics and with a demonstrated financial need. The scholarship was first awarded in 2002.
This award is intended to encourage undergraduate students who have the demonstrated capacity to achieve educational and professional goads, the motivation to achieve these goals, and the initiative to seek opportunities to further their progress.
An application form and instructions are available for download below. You may also obtain an application form from the office at A212 Wells Hall or from the math department website. An application form and two letters of recommendation are to be submitted to:

For full consideration of the applicant, all letters of recommendation should be received no later than March 21, 2007.
