Tyler Bongers

I am a graduate student in the Michigan State University Department of Mathematics.

My PhD advisor is Ignacio Uriarte-Tuero. I am interested in geometric measure theory, harmonic analysis, and complex analysis. In particular, I study how techniques and constructions from geometric measure theory can be used to understand extremal examples for quasiconformal maps and Favard length. I am also working in regularity of quasiconformal maps, which has some nice applications to elliptic PDEs.

I graduated from Colorado State University - Pueblo in 2012 with degrees in math and physics.

I also participated in
an REU at California State University Channel Islands in 2011, and presented a poster on the results at the 2012 Joint Mathematics Meetings.

In fall 2018, I will be joining the Mathematics Department of Washington University in St. Louis as a postdoc.

I can be contacted by email or can frequently be found in my office, Wells Hall C538. My office hours for Spring 2018 are Tuesdays, 1300-1400.
