LANSING OAR AND PADDLE CLUB
INTRODUCTION TO ROWING
Learnthe basics of rowing in single person and multi-oared rowing shells. The program will familiarize beginners withbasics of rowing. After a land-basedintroduction, instruction will be on the water with coaching from experiencedcoaches from LOAPC and Michigan State. All sessions will take place at the Ryden Boathouse in Grand River Parkbetween Logan and Waverly on the Grand River. All participants must have reasonable swimming skills.
Classeswill be on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 - 7:30 pm and Saturdays 9:30 - 11:00 am,starting June 3 and ending July 29. Participants are encouraged to make 2 sessions per week. Cost is $95.

Therewill be an open house on May 20 and on May 27 from 9:30 to 11:00 am . You willbe able to tour the boathouse, look over equipment and watch some experiencedrowers.

From the east take 496 west and exit atLansing Rd; after going under the bridges you reach the top of a hill; theDispatch bar is on the right and the entrance to the park is on the left.
From the west take Lansing Rd east offWaverly, the entrance to the park will be on the right and the Dispatch bar onthe left.
After entering the park turn left andfollow the road to the end at the parking lot and boat launch, then walkthrough the nursery to the boathouse.
