I'm a PhD student in Mathematics at Michigan State University.
I am interested in
low dimensional topology, in particular invariants of 3- and 4-manifolds coming from Floer homology theories
and also knot invariants.
PhD Advisor: Selman Akbulut
Thesis: Heegaard Floer homology of certain 3-manifolds and cobordism invariants, defended: April 2008

Teaching
I have taught Math 202 section 4 in spring 2008.
I have taught Math 124 sections 2
and 16 in Fall 2007,
and Math 234 in Summer 2007
I have also taught Math 103 and Math 132 at MSU.
Publications:
• An involution acting nontrivially on Heegaard-Floer homology ( with S. Akbulut ),
published in
Geometry and Topology of Manifolds, Fields Inst. Comm. vol 47, abstract
• Heegaard-Floer homology and a family of Brieskorn spheres, preprint, abstract
• Tightness of contact structures on certain 3-manifolds ( with F. Arikan ), in preparation, 2008
Other material:
Table of negative definite plumbing graphs for Brieskorn homology spheres
( PDF )
On the Möbius band
- a text I wrote in undergraduate (1997, in Turkish).
See also seminars conferences and workshops I have attended.
