Tentative Grade Scale: ≥90% = 4.0 , ≥85% = 3.5 , ≥ 80% = 3.0 , ≥75% = 2.5 , ≥70 = 2.0 , ≥ 60 = 1.0.
HOMEWORK & QUIZZES: Doing problems is the crucial step in learning. Make a strong effort on each weekly homework set. Don't hesitate to consult me in office hours if you feel stuck on homework or especially if you fall behind the lecture material.
Your work can be hand written, but I recommend LaTeX, available free.
I might give quizzes in class (announced or not) if I feel it useful, which will count toward your homework.
MIDTERM EXAM: Tentatively Mon Feb 27 in class.
FINAL EXAM: Thu, May 4, 2017, 12:45−2:45pm, in our usual classroom Wells Hall A-108.
